There’s a great quote by the writer Elbert Hubbard: “To avoid criticism say nothing, do nothing, be nothing.”

Truthfully, it’s not always easy to hear what folks have to say – but accepting criticism with grace, and learning from it, is an essential part of leadership. I’ll never win over everyone, and that’s okay.

At the end of the day, I’m not running for Prom King. I wasn’t elected to this job to court popularity and praise. If a little criticism or controversy are the price of getting important things done, then I say bring it on.

Unfortunately, the MAGA majority in Congress will do and say anything to win Donald Trump’s approval, Fox News’ attention, and the favor of the most radical, destructive wing of their party.

That’s why I need your help to drown out the endless right-wing noise so we can finally tackle the real issues. Will you pitch in $25 to support honest, effective leadership in Washington?
