We just received terrible news last night — less than a year after the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade, a Trump-appointed federal judge in Texas just issued a nationwide ban on a medication abortion pill.

The decision concerns mifepristone — a safe, legal medication used by 50% of women seeking abortion care in the United States.

This is dangerous and cruel. Mifepristone has been central to a woman’s right to choose for over 20 years. This could potentially make the drug even more difficult to come by in all states — including those where abortion is legal like Colorado.

But make no mistake: This disastrous decision won’t stop us from fighting for reproductive rights — and pushing back against those who seek to deny women their freedoms and dignity.
