Dear John,
In the biblical account, the week leading up to Easter Sunday is a tumultuous one. The Easter story is punctuated by moments of grief, fear, and sadness eclipsed by hope, joy, and wonder. As we celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ, we are reminded that we have been given the promise of life.
At Americans United for Life, we are passionate about protecting and defending the gift of life at every stage, from conception to natural death. As a movement, we, too, have experienced periods marked by grief and sadness. But, we are incredibly grateful for the times when we realize the blessings of hope and joy. These countless blessings flow from the gift of life. We are grateful for the love and support of our families and communities, for the beauty of the world around us, and for the opportunity to work together to build a culture of life.
As you reflect on the Easter story, I pray you will be reminded of the power of hope, and the importance of taking a stand for the immeasurable good that is found in each of our lives. Take a stand for that truth, even in the face of adversity. We know that the work we do together to protect life is not easy, but it is always worth it. We are committed to continuing this important work, and we are so grateful to have you with us on this journey.
I wish you a blessed and joyful Easter season, overflowing with the promise and hope of new beginnings.
Sincerely,
