Delivering Smiles in San Diego

Our VA Representative in San Diego, Page Soapes, has adopted the Oncology clinic at the San Diego VA in the name of Soldiers’ Angels. She had the pleasure of delivering Jersey Mike's subs and chips provided by Soldiers’ Angels to the Veterans at the clinic. But even more important than the lunch, Page was sure to deliver plenty of smiles to every Veteran she visited! The joy on the faces of these Veterans is proof that no matter the size of the support provided— a warm smile, a comforting touch, and a caring soul can create the most profound impact.

A Fresh Start for Homeless Veterans

When homeless veterans are approved and accepted into HUD-VASH, they often move into housing with little to no basic supplies. Soldiers’ Angels Homeless Veteran Housing Packs provide essentials such as pots, pans, dishes, sheets, blankets, pillows, bathroom supplies, and more to ensure they are ready for life in a new home. Click the video above to see some of the recent recipients.

Women's Events Charleston

Soldiers' Angels volunteers in Charleston helped ensure women Veterans were honored during Women's History Month. Attending multiple events throughout the month, our wonderful volunteers handed out Mary Kay, Thrive, scarves, bracelets, and many other items to women Veterans at the events.

Bingo & Dinner in San Antonio

Volunteers in San Antonio had a great time at the bi-weekly Soldiers' Angels Bingo and Dinner at American GI Forum. Volunteers served pizza, played bingo, and handed out plenty of prizes to all of the Veterans in attendance. This month the prizes even included socks from the recently completed Warm Feet for Warriors campaign! The Veterans loved receiving them as their Bingo prize!

Volunteer Spotlight: Mike Geier & Laura Schroeder, Charleston, South Carolina

Meet Mike Geier, VA Representative and Laura Schroeder, VA Deputy Representative. Laura and Mike are the backbone of the Soldiers' Angels team in Charleston. They provide support to all of their key volunteers and food distribution team leaders each month. Not only do they oversee and support their team, they continually look for donations each month to help support the luncheons provided to Veterans at the VA hospital, find donors to sponsor the food distribution each month and so much more. Thank you, Laura and Mike, for all you do for the military and Veteran community!
