You know why Susan Collins waited this long to reveal her decision on witness testimony?

Because she was waiting on her “hall pass” from Mitch McConnell.

McConnell first needed to know that Lamar Alexander would vote “No” on witnesses before he could let Senator Collins vote “Yes.” That way, he already had the votes he needed to block witnesses and evidence.

It’s all just political theater and cover for Collins while she’s up for reelection — but we see right through their act:

Rush a $3 contribution to defeat Susan Collins now. We need real leadership in the U.S. Senate — and that’s clearly not going to come from Senator Collins OR McConnell.

The truth is, Susan Collins only votes against her party when it won’t make a difference to the outcome. Nothing will change in Washington as long as Mitch McConnell is Majority Leader. We have to take back the Senate and kick him out — and that means we have to win in Maine.
