On Thursday, bombshell investigative reporting from ProPublica revealed that Justice Clarence Thomas has been accepting luxury vacations from a billionaire Republican donor for over 20 years — including trips on a private yacht and jet. And Justice Thomas has not disclosed a single one, potentially breaking the law.
Summer knows Justice Thomas must be held accountable — and she wasn’t afraid to call for a vote for his impeachment. Check out her response:
“The normalization of shamelessly corrupt, undemocratic behavior of Republican legislatures, governors, and judges at EVERY level is testing the limits of our democracy and judicial integrity like this country has never seen never before.
To allow Justice Thomas to be bought out with Illegally accepted luxury vacations and gifts is to make a kangaroo court out of the highest court in the land.
This CANNOT be about politics. There must be bipartisan action for accountability.
Our commitment to democracy and our judicial integrity MUST be bigger than any party's hunger for power.
It’s time for a vote on impeachment.”

This is not the first time Justice Thomas' behavior has been called into question.
His wife, Ginni Thomas, privately pressured Arizona state lawmakers to overturn the 2020 presidential election results, texted former Trump White House chief of staff Mark Meadows pleading for his support of Trump, and attended the January 6 rally that preceded the attack on the Capitol.
Yet, Justice Thomas has not recused himself from any cases involving the 2020 election or January 6 insurrection.
This clear conflict of interest is directly related to the current lack of trust in our judicial systems. That's why Summer is speaking out and calling for Justice Thomas to be impeached.
