Yesterday marked a huge win for the pro-life movement.

 

A federal judge in Texas ruled that the deadly abortion pill was approved illegally. 

 

District Court Judge Matthew J. Kacsmaryk ruled to overturn the FDA’s approval of mifepristone, the abortion drug which has been used as the primary method of killing our nation’s most vulnerable members for the past two decades.

 

This means the distribution of the abortion pill in physician’s offices and pharmacies may soon be halted, nationwide!

 

In combination with misoprostol, the abortion pill regimen makes up over half of the abortions in the United States right now… which means because of this victory, thousands of innocent babies may be saved from death by this lethal pill every DAY, and countless women will be protected from its serious effects.

In truth, the FDA’s lack of oversight and hasty approval of this pill has not only led to the deaths of an estimated 5.6 million children but has been associated with the deaths of 28 women and has injured many others.

 

This ruling is a huge step towards protecting women and their preborn children, but the battle does not end here. We expect that this decision will be appealed by abortion advocates and may ultimately make its way to the U.S. Supreme Court.

Over twenty years ago, the FDA caved to pressure from the abortion lobby and neglected the health and safety of women and children to approve the distribution of mifepristone, whose intended use is to starve a living child. 

 

This deadly drug has been approved for use up through ten weeks of pregnancy, at which point a human child has arms, eyelids, fingers, toes, and organs. These children have beating hearts, and if they were not intentionally killed, they would live. 

 

The FDA’s decision to approve the chemical abortion pill was egregiously wrong from the outset and has been a grave wound in the soul of our country.
