Tell the USPS Board of Governors:
Stop to Louis DeJoy’s 10-year plan to privatize the postal service now.

John,
Like our Social Security system, the United States Postal Service is the product of generations of Americans working together to build a simple, universal service that unites the country.
So of course, holdover Trump appointees are trying to destroy it.
Louis DeJoy, the Republican megadonor who Donald Trump made Postmaster General, is enacting a 10-year plan to radically transform the Postal Service from a universal public good to a profit-seeking privatized vampire. He plans to permanently slow down the mail, and charge higher prices for it―jeopardizing the entire USPS.
We can stop it―but it’s going to take all of our voices. We’re sending messages directly to the USPS Board of Governors, the only people who can stop DeJoy’s Postal Slowdown?
Social Security Works and our allies have set up a simple website to submit official comments directly to the USPS Board of Governors. We’ve already flooded them with more than 80,000 comments―but we still need yours!
It’s no accident that DeJoy -- the first Postmaster General in two decades without experience working in the postal service -- was appointed just months after Trumps’ Office of Management and Budget released recommendations that the USPS should be privatized. The result has been the slow decimation of one of America’s most treasured institutions.
The Postal Service is a lifeline to seniors living in remote areas, rural communities, and Indigenous communities. For example, these communities rely on the postal service to receive medications and to vote-by-mail, because their towns are too small for polling places. The war on the USPS is a huge part of the GOP war on seniors. Fight back today!

Thanks,
