Gun violence is now the leading cause of death for US children and teens.

It is possible to respect the rights of responsible gun owners AND pass common sense legislation that will protect our children and keep firearms out of the hands of those who pose a risk to themselves and others.

We cannot keep failing our kids – that’s why I am proud to be supporting legislation to fund research into firearm violence prevention, enhance background checks, and keep children safe.

Where you live shouldn’t determine the care you can access.

Here in New Hampshire, we believe in less government interference in our personal, private lives—including access to abortion and reproductive health care. 

I was proud to co-sponsor the Women’s Health Protection Act, which will guarantee everyone can access the care they need, when they need it, regardless of where they live.

During National Public Health Week, it is important to recognize every New Hampshire citizen’s right to quality and affordable health care. 

The Affordable Care Act has made that a reality for millions of hard-working Americans through no-cost, preventive care services — including physicals, cancer and heart screenings, STD prevention and treatment, and more.

We must continue expanding access and lowering costs — we cannot go backward.

Clean drinking water is essential for New Hampshire families to thrive. 

This week, I was proud to help announce new funding from the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law heading to New Hampshire to support clean drinking water infrastructure. I will continue working to ensure every family has the support and resources they need.

I am proud to bring New Hampshire values to Washington.

There is so much more that unites us than divides us — we just have to be willing to see past our differences. Sometimes, something as simple as a shared passion brings us all to the table. 

That’s how Rep. John Curtis and I got to know each other and what led us to partner as co-chairs of the Bipartisan Ski and Snowboard Caucus. Now, we are working across the aisle to deliver on critical issues impacting our country and economy, from climate change to permitting reform and workforce shortages.
