Democracy Summer has been the heart and soul of Congressman Jamie Raskin's campaigns since he first entered politics. Now, I am thrilled to be a part of this program's expansion as one of nearly 60 partner campaigns throughout the country.
Scholars will participate in state-of-the-art educational sessions with extraordinary seminars hosted by top scholars, organizers and leaders from across the country!
Past Democracy Summer speakers have included House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, Professor Laurence Tribe, Senator Elizabeth Warren, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio Cortez, Rep. John Lewis and Civil Rights leaders Bob Moses and Rev. William J. Barber II, and other distinguished speakers and experts on the front lines of American politics and government.
Not to mention, Scholars will also host at least one voter registration or voter education event in collaboration with other participants— and they will have the opportunity to attend a meeting with the entire campaign staff!
