John, I'm excited to share the latest from CRC with you: |
- How sustainable is "sustainable development"?
Sustainability, when seen in the proper light, is the opposite of what it claims. Sustainable development, like everything based on a socialist model, is not sustainable. It creates shortages and other calamities that will indeed force the world into a great reset that could make the Great Depression look trivial by comparison. Guest researcher James Simpson dissects the history and "reasoning" behind sustainable development here.
- Which cities should fear the new Soros DAs?
CRC researchers have traced roughly $35 million in funding from Soros through his personal network of political action committees to left-wing candidates for district attorney (DA). Soros's cash has generously supported dozens of left-wing candidates. Some have been removed from office, but at least 30 won their elections and remain in office today. CRC's Parker Thayer updates the research on Soros DAs here.
- How high is the price of romanticizing criminals in the black community?
Assata Shakur, a member of the Black Liberation Army and convicted cop killer, is celebrated in music and prose. The Movement for Black Lives (MBL), for example, has demanded that all protestors, even violent ones, be bailed out and charges dropped. With such a pantheon of "heroes" venerated in the black community, what "virtues" will they inspire in the next generation? CRC's Kali Fontanilla paints a disturbing picture here.
- Who is funding gun control advocacy?
About $350 million flowed into gun control advocacy groups from 2019 to 2020. Five groups--Everytown, Giffords, Brady, Sandy Hook Promise, and March for Our Lives--accounted for the vast majority of the funds. Behind all of this, former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg sticks out as the most important financer of gun control activism. CRC's Robert Stilson explores the finances of gun control activism here and here.

In this episode: Last week, a spree shooter killed six people at the Covenant School in Nashville, Tennessee. Our thoughts and prayers are with the families of the victims and the others affected. Now, even as they have campaigned to take away gun rights in response to similar spree shootings, left-wing interest groups have pushed to remove school resource officers--cops who work directly with the school community--from public schools.
Joining Mike Watson and Sarah Lee to discuss this anti-police campaign is CRC Senior Fellow Kali Fontanilla, a former teacher in California.
