Dear John, This week, voters in Wisconsin delivered a huge win for reproductive rights — and once again proved just how unpopular abortion restrictions are. Despite that, there have been extreme measures advancing in Idaho, Kansas, and other Republican-controlled states across the country. The Kansas law — which has a veto-proof majority — is dangerous for patients and doctors, and is yet another example of extremists ignoring voters' voices. Last summer, abortion was directly on the Kansas ballot, and voters protected it — but the legislature is still targeting Kansans' rights. This direct disregard for voters' input, and the patchwork of different laws and bans, is exactly why we need federal abortion protections. We need to defend reproductive rights for patients in every part of every state — and that means we need to get to work to elect abortion rights supporters up and down the ballot. Will you be a part of it? DONATE I'm leading the fight in Congress to ensure that everyone can receive the abortion care they need, without medically unnecessary restrictions. But I can't win this fight alone: Stand with me >> Best, Judy Judy Chu | AMB Consulting, 1531 Purdue Ave., Los Angeles, CA 90025 Unsubscribe [email protected] Update Profile | Constant Contact Data Notice Sent by [email protected] powered by Try email marketing for free today!
