Did you know that Ground Game Texas has secured the FIRST ballot initiative on abortion in Texas since Roe was overturned? And the election is just one month away!
It’s true. In San Antonio, we’ve secured a ballot initiative that would decriminalize abortion—meaning no one would be harassed by police for seeking abortion care, including via abortion medication in the mail.
Right-wing politicians in Texas have ended abortion rights. But we can fight back. We can ensure no police resources are used to harass Texans for getting abortion care. But we need your help to pass it—and right now we have to Get Out The Vote.
Team, our initiative doesn’t end with decriminalizing abortion. It would also decriminalize marijuana, end the use of no-knock police raids, end police chokeholds, and implement a policy to prioritize citations over arrests for non-violent crimes.
The San Antonio Justice Charter is a groundbreaking policy that will improve public safety and help protect fundamental rights. It’s so critical that we pass this initiative on May 6th. That’s why we’re asking for your help with one month to Get Out the Vote.
