Republicans in the Tennessee House of Representatives voted to expel two Black Democratic Representatives for protesting against gun violence after a Nashville school shooting.
John,
Last night, Republicans in the Tennessee House voted to expel Representatives Justin Jones and Justin Pearson for protesting against gun violence after the Nashville school shooting. Their white colleague who joined the protest was not expelled.
This is straight up fascism, y’all. That two Black men were expelled for standing up against the murder of three children, but not their white counterpart, says it all.

Two Black legislators were expelled from their duly elected positions for "speaking out of turn," protesting children being gunned down in school, and their white colleague who joined them was not!
It's right there in your face, and it's always been.
WHAT SIDE ARE YOU ON

John, we have to stand together against GOP racism and fascism. Representatives Jones and Pearson have my support. If they have yours, will you split a contribution between our three campaigns now?

Representatives Justin Jones and Justin Pearson were expelled for standing up against the murder of children and the NRA. But once again, Republicans want to put politics over the lives of the people they represent.
I will always say it how it is. Just as status quo white supremacy worked to quickly remove Representatives Jones and Pearson from power, it also presented itself in the racialized fearmongering we saw in attacks against our campaign last year.
It took centuries — and a movement — to elect the first Black Congresswoman to represent Pennsylvania. Now is the time to stand up and fight back again before it's too late. Staying on the sidelines is not an option.
Republicans are trying to silence anyone who speaks out against them. But the progressive movement isn’t backing down. Support Justin Jones and Justin Pearson by splitting a donation between my campaign and them now.
In solidarity,
Summer Lee
