What happened in Tennessee yesterday was an attempt to silence us -- to
silence our movement. But it ain’t going to happen.
You've probably seen the news. In response to the recent, tragic
mass-shooting in Nashville, three legislators in the Tennessee House spoke
out. The Tennessee Three raised their voices with students calling for
action against the public health crisis of gun violence.
Two of those legislators are Black men. The other is a White woman.
Yesterday the Tennessee legislature expelled the Black men.
Today I’m helping to raise funds for the legislators who were expelled. If
