As you may know American Muckrakers has made a name for itself as one of the preeminent watchdog organizations holding right-wingers accountable every day.

We frequently receive messages from people across the country asking why we aren’t doing any investigative work on Marjorie Taylor Greene (MTG).

Strategically, we strive to focus our resources on elections that we believe, and other experts believe, can be flipped. To be perfectly frank, MTG’s district is deep red. On top of this we don't yet have the intelligence networks in Georgia that we boast in North Carolina and on the western slope of Colorado (Boebert’s district).

However, this could all change soon.

Marjorie Taylor Greene constantly makes headlines for her extreme right-wing views. She has spread dangerous conspiracy theories, engaged in hate speech, and has promoted violence on numerous occasions, and we believe there may be more to uncover… Hell, she wants to be Vice President.

We recently received a tip on MTG from a reliable source about her engaging in some very disturbing behavior.

It’s too early to provide more details until we’ve had a chance to do a proper legal vetting, verification, and investigation of this tip but without getting too ahead of ourselves it's worth saying that this tip could be explosive to say the least.

With our lawsuit against Lauren Boebert headed to a courtroom in a few weeks we have allocated all of our funds for that effort. To give this tip the attention it deserves we’ll need to ensure that our team has all the resources they need to responsibly vet it.

To do our due diligence and verify that this tip holds up, our staff will need resources ranging from access to databases, purchases of court docs, or even hotels and plane tickets to get them to Georgia where they can investigate on the ground. In addition, we need a forensic document expert to review the documents to make sure they are not fakes.
