National Beer Day: April 7

The 2021 Annual Survey of Manufactures - looking at breweries - counted 72,672 employees, a $3.85 billion annual payroll, and sales/shipments/revenue at $30.5 billion.

Community College Month: April

In 2021, the Current Population Survey (CPS) estimated the number of college students enrolled in two-year institutions was 3.5 million, a 2.2 million decrease from 5.7 million in 2011.

National Siblings Day: April 10

In 2022, most of America?s children under 18 lived with siblings. Of the 73.3 million children, 58.1 million lived with one or more siblings, about 79.3 percent.

National Pet Day: April 11

The 2021 American Community Survey (ACS) estimated full-time, year-round civilian employed veterinarians at 71,009, assistants 36,286, and animal caretakers 144,411.

National Volunteer Week: April 16-22

The 2021 Volunteering in America Report found 60.7 million adults (23.2 percent) volunteered 4.1 billion hours. Economic value was estimated at $122.9 billion.
