Instead of fighting for evidence and witness testimony from the beginning, Susan Collins voted with Mitch McConnell ten times to block documents and witness testimony at the beginning of the trial, threw cold water on including vital new evidence, and waited until the last possible moment to do the bare minimum to stand up for the inclusion of witnesses.

But in the end, for Senator Collins it isn’t about what is right for the country, it is about making sure Mitch McConnell still gets what he wants. And Collins made sure that her vote wouldn’t prevent that from happening.
