Dear Community Partner:

Consumer Action has for decades made free multilingual publications and services available to consumers and to our network of community-based organizations. We are always glad to see, and eager to share, others' efforts to reach limited-English-proficient (LEP) consumers.

We recently teamed up with the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) to create the informational video The CFPB speaks your language: In-language tools from the CFPB for community educators and advocates. In the video, speakers from the CFPB’s Office of Financial Education discuss recent steps the agency has taken toward its goal of reaching more LEP consumers. Presenters describe how the CFPB has been testing whether the agency’s resources are succeeding in helping non-English-speaking communities navigate financial hardships and how the agency has been studying ways to strengthen its resources for LEP consumers.
