Hi friend, I’m Luz. I’m an organizer and activist with United We Dream Action. And I’m undocumented and unafraid.
I came to the United States from Bolivia when I was four years old — growing up, I didn’t know I was undocumented.
It wasn't until I was 16 and applying for DACA when I realized what that meant. DACA changed my life, but the truth is that it will never be enough to keep immigrant youth like me safe.
That’s why we fight for a pathway to citizenship — and that’s why we need your support today:
Will you make a contribution to United We Dream Action to support our fight for permanent protections for immigrant youth and all undocumented people?

After I learned I was undocumented, I felt alone and afraid; like I should stop joining protests and retreat into the shadows.
But I found hope in organizing to win permanent protections, so I put my skills right to work to provide for myself, my family, and my community.
For DACA recipients like me, and the millions not protected by DACA, we need more than temporary protections. One misstep or one rogue judge can take away our livelihoods, our ability to provide for our families, and our freedom from the fear of deportation.
Immigrant youth and our allies fought to win DACA over 10 years ago, and ever since, we have had to fight to protect DACA and our communities against years of right-wing attacks.
We will do whatever it takes to win our demands until no one is living under the fear of detention and deportation. But we can’t do this without the support of grassroots allies like you.
So, will you add a donation to fuel our fight for permanent protections today? It will take all of us pitching in to win our demands for a pathway to citizenship.

Never in a million years would I have thought that I — a scared Bolivian girl who didn't know she was undocumented until she turned 16 — would shape young leaders who would impact their communities.
Thank you for supporting our fight for undocumented youth and families.
Luz, United We Dream Action
