John, we're proving the power of our grassroots movement.
On Monday, Students Demand Action leaders from Vanderbilt University
organized a walkout hundreds strong to the Tennessee capitol in Nashville.
There, they met Moms Demand Action volunteers and grassroots supporters to
demand stronger gun laws and hold elected leaders accountable.

Then on Wednesday, Students Demand Action groups across the country
followed suit and led more than 300 walk-outs in 42 states and in
Washington, D.C., to demand change from our leaders at all levels of
government.

While students were making their voices heard, Moms Demand Action
volunteers took over multiple state capitols. In other states across the
country, our volunteer leaders organized rallies to hold lawmakers
accountable for dangerous gun laws they recently passed despite strong
opposition.
Our volunteers showed up in Texas, Nebraska, and South Carolina to demand
lawmakers REJECT bad gun policies being considered by those legislatures.
And once again, they showed up at the state capitol in Nashville to demand
stronger gun laws that can help prevent future tragedies.

While our volunteers are showing up to statehouses in person, we're also
activating our grassroots base to drive calls to elected leaders: this
week in Tennessee alone, our supporters have made 7,500 dials urging
lawmakers to take action and reject the gun lobby's agenda.
When we say we demand action, we mean it. In cold rain or bright sunshine,
our volunteers have been showing up all year long to meet with their
legislators and hold them to task in their jobs as elected
representatives. States like Ohio and Texas held their biggest advocacy
days ever.
Already this year, we've stopped more than 100 bad gun bills in state
legislatures, and we're not letting up now.
With the help of supporters like you, we're building an incredible
movement—and we're making gun safety an issue our politicians can't
ignore.
Thank you for being with us.

Fighting for gun safety in every single state would be impossible without
our thousands of incredible volunteers. And when we're going toe-to-toe
with the gun lobby, it requires a lot of financial resources, too—that's
why we rely on grassroots donors to keep us going. [ [link removed] ]If you'd like to
