MCB co-hosts UK Parliament event against Islamophobia
The Muslim Council of Britain and Afzal Khan MP hosted a parliament session to mark the UN International Day to Combat Islamophobia on March 15, 2023.

The day addressed rising hate crimes against British Muslims and Muslim communities worldwide, urging governments to prioritize action against Islamophobia.

International Women’s Day 2023: Celebrating with Muslim women across the UK
MCB Secretary-General spent a week travelling across the UK to learn more about the achievements and successes of local Muslim women. 

Our leadership team also hosted a special online event for young girls to celebrate the success of local Muslim women and their contribution to local communities.

MCB calls upon UK Government to scrap cruel Anti-Refugee Bill
The MCB has called on the UK government to scrap the 'Illegal Migration Bill', also known as the 'Anti-Refugee' or 'Refugee Ban Bill', before its second reading in parliament. 

The highly controversial bill would remove protections from modern slavery and give the Home Secretary the power to detain refugees, asylum seekers, and even children indefinitely.
