Free yard waste and spring clean-up next week

It's a lovely weekend to work in the yard and clean out your garage! Free yard waste and spring clean-up week takes place the week of April 10 on your regular garbage day.
Stickers are not needed for this special yard waste collection but be sure to use a 30-gallon paper bag. Plus, put out bulk items like old furniture and extra trash that doesn't fit in your garbage cart.

With damage from severe weather in the past week, use caution when solicitors show up on your doorstep offering their services.
Village ordinance [ [link removed] ]requires a solicitor permit for every person or entity engaged in soliciting for commercial gain.?All solicitors must keep their solicitor permit on their person to be displayed upon request. Soliciting is not permitted if an owner or resident has a sign indicating NO SOLICITORS.?

Guard against identify theft
Free shred event general
Get rid of personal and financial documents securely at the free Shred Event [ [link removed] ]on Saturday, April 22 at the Village's Public Works facility, 100 Theodore Dr.?
Starting at 9 a.m., boxes of paper will be accepted until the shred trucks are full, or 1 p.m., whichever comes first. There is a limit of 3 large file boxes.?
This drive-up event is hosted by the Police Department in partnership with the First National Bank of Omaha.?
After the shred event, head over to the Kendall County Safety Center, West John Street and Cornell Lane in Yorkville, to safely dispose of unwanted prescription drugs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.?The April 22?Prescription Drug Take-Back Day [ [link removed] ]?is hosted by the Kendall County Coroner in partnership with Oswego and Yorkville Police Departments, Kendall County Sheriff's Office and the U.S. Drug and Enforcement Administration.?
