John,
Last night the Chico Unified School Board inexplicably voted to keep its disastrous “parental secrecy” policy in place.
As you may know, we’re suing the Chico Unified School District to end this terrible policy after an elementary school guidance counselor tried to socially transition Aurora Regino whose 11-year-old daughter at school—all without Aurora’s knowledge or consent.
It’s critical that we win this lawsuit and put an end to this policy that so clearly violates parents’ fundamental rights before any more school districts adopt it.
Will you make an emergency donation of $35 or more to the Center for American Liberty today and help us fight back against this horrible policy?
What makes this particular vote so egregious is that dozens of parents showed up to the Chico School Board meeting to voice their opposition to Chico’s Parental Secrecy Policy.
Aurora Regino herself showed up to make her voice heard yet again.
But it was all in vain as the leftists on the school board voted 3-2 to keep the policy in place.
The board members even went so far as to say that the “parental secrecy” policy is required by California law.
Here’s the thing – It’s NOT required by law.
We cannot allow schools to get away with radical policies that intentionally circumvent parental rights and actively encourage children to lie to their parents.
That’s why Aurora Regino has bravely stepped forward to sue, not for money or damages, but to put a stop to this policy once and for all.
Help us win for Aurora and for parents across the country by joining the fight with an urgent, tax-deductible gift of $35 or more.
While we’re extremely disappointed that the Chico Unified School Board voted against the wishes of so many parents, we’re not deterred and we’re not slowing down.
With your support, we’re committed to fighting this legal battle as long as it takes to win.
Thank you for all that you do.
