While I've known Brandon for over a decade, our journey here really started in November 2022, when I joined a coalition of progressive elected officials, Independent Political Organizations, and labor and community leaders as we launched his campaign.

John, I stood and will continue to stand by Brandon Johnson because he is committed to giving people a voice on the 5th floor of City Hall. He is committed to protecting our working families, and giving you an elected official who is present and willing to listen.

The work ahead will not be easy, but I am hopeful and ready to help our Mayor build a better, stronger, and safer Chicago.

Delia Ramirez has dedicated her life and career to advocating for working families. She is an outstanding community leader with experience as CEO of community organizations and has created countless alliances in our communities. As the daughter of Guatemalan immigrants, Delia's values are rooted in effort and service to others.

As the founder and former director of the Center for Changing Lives, chair of the executive board for the Latin United Community Housing Association (LUCHA) and the Logan Square Neighborhood Association (LSNA), Delia has worked for solutions to many complex problems such as affordable housing, education, and criminal justice.

In 2018, Delia ran for and was elected to the House of Representatives in Illinois' 4th District. Since then, she has passed legislation expanding affordable housing, Medicaid coverage for seniors regardless of immigration status, and creating a Chicago school board. Now, she is part of the Democratic majority leadership team in the House.

Delia fights every day to break the social obstacles that she and many women face. Her passion is to guide and empower women to achieve leadership opportunities in all sectors.
