John,
Last week, three 9 year old children and three adults were killed in a mass shooting. Now, instead of doing something to stop the next child from being killed, Tennessee lawmakers are trying to expel three Democratic representatives who called for change in the wake of unimaginable tragedy.
This is unprecedented and undemocratic and we won’t stand for it. Brady is fighting against gun lobby-backed, Second Amendment extremists every day to save lives. To change this country, we need your help: Donate today to fund this fight. >> [[link removed]]

The Tennessee Speaker of the House called the lawmakers’ actions “unacceptable,” but what is truly unacceptable is ignoring the deaths of three children and three adults. Ignoring the fact that gun violence is the number one killer of children in the United States. Ignoring those begging and pleading for change and for their lives.
Unfortunately, this blind eye is by gun lobby design. The NRA has spent hundreds of thousands of dollars to fill the Tennessee state legislature with spineless politicians who will do their bidding, promoting their ‘guns everywhere’ agenda, and Tennesseans are paying the price.
Tennessee does not have a ban on assault weapons.
Tennessee does not have universal background checks.
Tennessee does not have Extreme Risk Protection Laws.
Tennessee is a permitless carry state.
The lawmakers under attack today are the ones calling for change that Tennessee and the nation desperately need. But House leadership would rather use their power to punish lawmakers who speak out against gun violence than pass any legislation to prevent the next mass shooting.
We won’t ignore the deadly reality of our nation, John. And we won’t stand down to reckless politicians or the gun lobby that funds them. I know you won’t either, that’s why I’m asking our grassroots activists to take the action we really need today: In the name of democracy and American lives, will you donate today to fuel Brady's fight to save our children and our country from gun violence?
