Happy birthday to Treatment Advocacy Center! This Saturday, April 8, 2023 marks the 25th birthday of Treatment Advocacy Center. We were founded in 1998 by Dr. E. Fuller Torrey, whose mission was to fundamentally alter the way we view and treat those with severe mental illness and their loved ones. Then and now, TAC is the only national nonprofit committed solely to eliminating barriers to the treatment of severe mental illness. We believe that access to treatment is a fundamental human right.
