We are looking for highly customer-orientated individuals to join our team.? The successful candidates should demonstrate that they have excellent written and verbal communication skills, are able to learn a subject from a position of zero knowledge and have a detailed knowledge of computer systems. In addition strong motivational skills to ensure that personal deadlines are met, working with minimum supervision and being an active team member are important.

?The successful candidates will be dealing with enquiries over the telephone and in writing with regards to Penalty Charge Notices/Fixed Penalty Notices therefore, being able to interrogate records and give accurate information is paramount. As this is a front-line service, you should have excellent customer services skills and be able to deal with irate customers in a calm, tactful, diplomatic and logical manner.??

To monitor and isnpect work promoters/developers within the highway to ensure compliance with legal, technical and other regulations.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:?
  • To report on issues relating to the Traffic Management Act 2004, Highway Act 1980 and New Roads and Street Works Act.
  • To represent the Authority in meetings with citizens, developers and work promoters.
  • To carry out and report on investigations arising from complaints and/or enquiries from citizens and other sources in relative to the public highway and accessible areas.
  • To undertake on-site inspections and assessment in response to licensing requests and street works permit.
  • IT skills including use of specific highway software such as Symology.
  • Knowledge of civil engineering and construction practices would be advantageous when working with developers.
