Hey John,

The most important thing I’ve learned during my time at When We All Vote is that each of us brings our own unique perspective to this work.

Like so many of you, my story begins with family and shared values.

As Muslim immigrants who overcame generational struggle to build a beautiful American life, my parents raised me to recognize that I had a responsibility to uplift my neighbors through my own actions, whenever possible.

As my family and I navigated a challenging post-9/11 society as Muslims, service was one way that we could express our faith without fear.

My father taught me that voting in every election was one component of our service to our neighbors and ourselves. When he brought me with him to cast his ballot in 2008, the excitement lit a fire under me. I felt like I was part of something bigger than myself. And I knew that for as long as I lived, I wanted to experience that feeling.

Since joining When We All Vote three years ago and managing our community of 100,000 volunteers, I feel even more passionately about the importance of every voice, every vote, and the unique experiences we bring to this work. That’s why I’m asking you to chip in now to support this work — even $10 makes a difference. [[link removed]]

We have helped our volunteers honor their own ancestral journeys while exercising their political power — partying at the polls in their communities or even riding on horseback across the desert to cast their ballots.

I am doing this work because I care deeply about strengthening movements that uplift our voices and put communities first.

And now, I have an ask of you.

Make a donation to ensure everyone can make their voices heard at the polls. Our work never stops. In fact — we’re just catching our second wind. [[link removed]]

Thank you for being part of this fight.
