Remember about three years ago at the start of the pandemic, when it seemed like everyone you knew was baking sourdough?

I’ll admit it: I was one of those people. As a scientist, I’m totally captivated by the complex, experimental breadmaking process. And you don’t have to be a scientist to be totally captivated by delicious sourdough (maybe a little too captivated at times).

Well, folks, the reason I bring this up is there’s a saying in politics: “Early money is like yeast, it helps the dough rise.”

Like yeast, early money is the foundation upon which everything else depends. You could be the most charismatic candidate with the most brilliant ideas, but if you don’t have the resources to build a resilient campaign operation, you’re going to fall flat.

Crust me, I wouldn’t ask if it wasn’t important. But your early support is the key ingredient to our success in this historically important election cycle.

Can I count on you to mix in a contribution of $25 or more to help us rise to the occasion?
