I wanted to update you on some important upcoming events happening in the Third Congressional District of North Carolina.

For starters, my office will be hosting a Service Academy Day on Saturday, April 29th at Craven Community College in New Bern. Interested students, parents, and educators are welcome to attend and speak with Service Academy representatives to learn more about the United States Service Academies and the nomination process. I also wanted to remind you that my office is accepting submissions for the Congressional Art Competition. Each Spring, Congress hosts a nationwide high school art competition, which serves as an opportunity to recognize and encourage the artistic talent in the nation and our district. This year’s theme is “JOY!” If your student is interested in participating in this year’s competition, the deadline to submit artwork is Saturday, April 22nd.
