Embracing Community Education
The month of March was stacked full of tasks as we planned for two
large-scale events. The AMAC Foundation team was very excited to have
the opportunity to provide the local community in-person interaction
and information on Social Security and collaborate with others on
Aging at Home / Assisted Living perspectives.
On March 22nd, we held the Social Security Seminar 2023 at Lady Lake
Library. This event embraced the 2023 changes to Social Security and
many common topics and questions our Social Security Advisors respond
to daily. Our advisors were engaged in delivering some excellent
material on several topics, including:
* The basics - Eligibility & Full Retirement Age (FRA)
* When/How to file
* Taxation of Benefits
* Disability Basics
* Spousal Benefits
* Surviving Spouse Benefits
You’re in luck - the event was recorded and is available on Videos
section of the website! Here’s the link: Social Security Seminar

On March 24th, AMAC Foundation also held an Aging at Home Expo, with
over 20 exhibitors in attendance and several speakers. First, we want
to thank all who participated in the event, from vendors, door prize
sponsors, and attendees - it was great to have the opportunity to
interact and collaborate!
