experience necessary, you will be trained before going out and paired
with a partner.

Feb. 1, 4–6 pm at Pizzaplex on Vernor. Warm up with comrades after
canvassing!

Thursday, 6:30–8:30 pm at Red Door Digital (7500 Oakland Ave,

+ Canvass in Hamtramck on Feb. 8 following the General Meeting,
and in Dearborn on Feb. 15.

graduate student union, are teaming up with the Detroit DSA Public
Education Working Group, MI-CORE (Caucus of Rank-and-file Educators)
and Debt
Collective on a Town Hall about the state of higher education.
We will have a community discussion
about the movement to make public higher ed tuition-free and cancel
all student debt.

Movement, and Dr. Abdul El-Sayed for a lively discussion on why
Senator Bernie Sanders is the best candidate to take on the climate
crisis, his plans to build a peaceful green economy—and how we plan to
get him elected President.
Socialist Night School Our ever popular Socialist Night School starts up again on Wednesday, Feb. 5 at 6:30
pm. This semester, night school will be co-hosted with Wayne State
YDSA on campus in the Student Center, room 010.
The first two sessions on Feb. 5
and Feb. 19 will be on “Black Politics in Detroit,” led by Wayne State
professor David Goldberg.
Note: There is some metered street
parking on Cass, or $5 parking in the “Park & Lock” on Cass just
below Warren.
Detroit DSA Media Team Our media team is picking up steam. If you
can write or edit for the newspaper, take photos, have skills related
to podcasting, marketing, illustration, or graphic design, please send

Group — Monthly meeting Monday, Feb. 3, 6:30–7:30 pm at the

Reading Circle — This month the book is Revolutionary
Suicide, by Huey P. Newton. The group will discuss the first half of
the book on Sunday, Feb. 9 at 3 pm at Cafe 1923 in Hamtramck.

Detroit.
