The Tour of Honour
Honour House
The tour will take our donated Humvee and trailer on a journey, which will cover thousands of kilometers as it travels the length and breadth of British Columbia and the Yukon. Over a period of three months, our charity will be visiting as many towns and cities as possible, calling in at Royal Canadian Legions, military bases, fire departments, town halls, police and paramedic stations and more.

Smith's Ambulance suing province after contract severed

Smith’s Ambulance in Whitbourne is suing the provincial government after the company’s contract was severed recently.
Court papers claim that the termination of Smith’s contract was not in compliance with the terms of the Ambulance Service Agreement between Smith’s, Eastern Health and the Department of Health.

Paramedics to continue responding from Hillsburgh fire station

The Town of Erin and the City of Guelph have reached an agreement for the Guelph-Wellington Paramedic Service’s continued use of Station 50 in Hillsburgh.
The current lease expired at the end of March, and a new lease has been negotiated that will see paramedics responding from the Hillsburgh fire station over the next five years.

Air ambulance crew members killed while on rescue mission for hiker

Two crew members aboard an air ambulance have been killed after the helicopter they were traveling in crashed while on a rescue mission.
According to ABC News a third member of the rescue team on board was rushed to hospital with injuries and is in a critical condition.

Family of woman killed in ambulance launches $1 million lawsuit

A $1 million lawsuit has been launched by the family of a White River woman who was killed when the ambulance she was being transported in collided with a snowplow.
At the time, Ontario Provincial Police said Connie Halverson, age 68, was killed Feb. 20, 2022 when the ambulance she was travelling in as a patient collided with a snowplow about 40 kilometres north of Wawa, ON.

An annual update on key performance indicators for paramedics shows ambulances are losing the equivalent of more than three 12-hour ambulance shifts per day in offload delay.
