Texas Department of Transportation

Connecting Texas 2050 virtual public meeting with in-person open houses

Purpose: The Texas Department of Transportation is hosting a virtual public meeting with in-person open houses this spring for Connecting Texas 2050, the latest update to TxDOT's statewide long-range transportation plan. The purpose of the virtual public meeting with in-person open houses is for participants to learn about the process to prepare a statewide long-range transportation plan, share their vision for the future of transportation in 2050, and provide input on their transportation goals and needs to help TxDOT plan for 2050. The first series of virtual public meetings with in-person open houses are from March to May of 2023. All meeting materials including comment and engagement opportunities are the same for both virtual and in-person meetings. The virtual public meeting is open statewide to the public and the in-person open houses are being held in locations convenient to 13 of TxDOT's 25 districts across the state, with meetings in the remaining districts planned as part of a second series later this year.
