** Celebrating Local Heroes During Youth Work Ireland Week
------------------------------------------------------------
Youth Work Ireland Week 2023 is currently taking place until Saturday April 8th and will see events and activities taking place across Youth Work Ireland Member Youth Services. The week will be jampacked with events and activities to celebrate local heroes – local volunteers, by organising celebratory activities and events and by taking part in our national activity.

YIFM: Screen Ireland Bursary
Screen Ireland and Young Irish Film Makers are offering 8 unique bursaries aimed at supporting interested young people from disadvantaged or marginalised backgrounds (socio-economic, minority ethnic, asylum seekers/refugees, disability, geographically isolated) aged 16-19 years old to attend a ten day residential film & animation camp this August.

ECO-UNESCO: Green Youth Employability
ECO-UNESCO are launching a Green Youth Employability programme aimed at young people ages 18-25 years, who wish to improve their Employability, ESOL and Literacy skills.

No Name Club Seeking New Members
The No Name Club are a national organisation of youth clubs for ages 15-18 that respect the dignity and uniqueness of all young people by supporting, advocating and helping to safeguard their right to enjoy life and mature without a reliance on alcohol and other drugs. Their clubs are actively involved in activities for the 2022/23 year, with lots of events happening nationwide.

Involve CLG: STATUS toolkit
The STATUS (Supporting Travellers Advance Through Universal Services) Toolkit is a Quality Assurance (QA) Framework whereby organisations can engage in a process of self-evaluation and agree a Continuous Improvement Plan (CIP) to support their youth work practices in order to be more inclusive of members of the Traveller community. The STATUS team are on hand to support your organisation or group in implementing the toolkit.

The Ideas Collective is STAND’s summer boot camp for changemakers. Over the course of three weekends, students and recent graduates take part in a process of training, collaboration and reflection to develop impactful action projects for social and environmental change.

Young Elected Politician programme 2023
Are you a politician with a mandate at local or regional level in the EU, born after 1 January 1983? Are you looking for opportunities to network, exchange best practices, gather information on EU legislation and EU funding opportunities, be involved in the work of the European Committee of the Regions, and meet and debate with CoR members and other local, regional and European politicians? Public Participation Networks
The Department of Rural and Community Development are currently rolling out a campaign raising awareness of Public Participation Networks across the country, - encouraging community and voluntary groups to join their local PPN to help shape local solutions to local issues.

Does your project need assistance from volunteers?
One of the Irish Youth Foundation’s corporate supporters is offering members of their staff as volunteers to a youth project in Dublin, should there be a need for this. The group would be approx 20 people in total and would be available to provide one full day of pro-bono support.
