It's been over two years since the hospital and insurer price transparency rules went in effect but compliance is still far away. According to reports, only a quarter of hospitals are fully compliant. Given how opaque prices are, patients remain in the dark—stuck waiting until after they receive medical care and have their bill in hand to fully understand how much they owe.
