Team -- we are facing a unique challenge for Tina's re-election campaign and we all decided the best thing to do was just tell you about it:

Our very first monthly fundraising deadline of 2020 is coming up in just two days and we're falling short of our goal. The timing is a challenge.

Here's why: The goals we set each month are real. Whether or not we reach them determines if we have the resources to follow through on our strategy to win in November.

But January is (unsurprisingly) one of the toughest times for fundraising and we're worried the timing of our end-of-month deadline on Friday may make it difficult to catch up to this month's goal.

We cannot afford to fall short this early in an election year. Not with the Koch network planning to spend millions to prop up their chosen candidates in key races and with Donald Trump making Minnesota a top target in his re-election bid.

So, we're trying to raise what we can before Friday. That's why we're asking:

Will you add a donation of $10 or more before our very first monthly fundraising deadline of the year? We know this is sort of an unusual ask, but it's really important.
