Last night, we got to proclaim: VICTORY!!! Progressive Judge Janet Protasiewicz has just flipped the Wisconsin Supreme Court for the first time in a generation!!!!
Wisconsin Democratic Party Digital Director Bhavik Lathia made this key point on Twitter last night about what made the victory possible: "Year-round organizing. Year-round voter protection. Year-round comms. Year-round digital. Year-round programs at the state party level get the goods!"
And he gave us this important reminder: "Read this. Remember this. Repeat it to everyone you know. Our year-round programs could not happen without strong support from our monthly grassroots donors."

Wisconsin Democratic Party Chair Ben Wikler tweeted this last night: "Tonight’s victory is the result of years of unglamorous work by volunteers, activists, union workers, and organizers across our state who knocked doors, made phone calls, chipped in, and never lost faith that a better future was possible -- even when all hope seemed lost..."
Which makes another key point. This win was built atop a foundation of organizing that has been years in the making.
Other state Democratic parties across the country can learn from Wisconsin's example.
