Last night’s victory in Wisconsin is a signal to the rest of the nation that abortion rights are a massive mobilizing issue that will drive pro-choice voters to the polls, even in off-year elections.

Yesterday morning’s news that North Carolina Democratic State Rep. Tricia Cotham was switching parties and delivering the North Carolina GOP the super-majority they need to ban abortion in the state reminded us that abortion rights in our Commonwealth are hanging on by a thread as well.

Make no mistake about it, folks, abortion rights in Virginia are on the ballot in November. Holding onto the State Senate and taking the majority in the House of Delegates are the only ways we have to prevent Glenn Youngkin and his VA GOP from banning abortion in Virginia and taking away the last avenue for safe, legal abortions in the South.

We’re asking you to chip in again because this issue is too important. The Democratic Party of Virginia is committed to defending abortion rights in our Commonwealth and we’re working day and night to elect a Democratic majority to do just that.
