I was born and raised in New York City. I was raised to believe that hard
work and love for all people lays the foundation for the kind of community
we want to build. So when I heard Marjorie Taylor Greene was in our city
to protest Trump's arraignment — I made sure she knew exactly how New
Yorkers felt about it.

When we elect our government representatives, we expect them to have our
best interests and priorities at heart as legislators for our future. But
what happens when personal politics outweigh the needs of the people?
Well, let's take a look at Marjorie Taylor Greene's
priorities, John.

The truth is: Marjorie Taylor Greene has made a constant choice to align
herself with hateful rhetoric and politics. She touts beliefs that will
never be accepted here in New York City. Instead of fighting for her own
constituents in Congress and in her district, she's in New York City to
selfishly boost her fundraising, spread her divisive propaganda, and
continue doing Trump's dirty work.
New Yorkers simply don't let that fly.
John, New York
City stood up to Marjorie Taylor Greene and let her know that her hatred
is not welcome here. Now it's time to put this pressure on anyone else who
continues to uplift the pillars of racism and injustice that exist in our

My perspective is simple: we need our representatives to stop wasting time
and do their freaking jobs.
If Marjorie is worried about this country, she should be in Washington,
D.C. fighting to end gun violence, take climate action, and provide
accessible health care for all. She needs to be in her district, fighting
to end childhood poverty, bringing affordable housing to her constituents,
and so much more. But instead, she's prioritizing a cozy relationship with
Trump and her own personal politics ahead of finding real solutions to the
issues in her community.
Every day, I dedicate 100% of my time to bringing real change that meets
the severity of the crises we face. From fighting for care workers and
nurses who bring life and health into our cities, to working to build
stronger education systems for our students, there's so much at stake for
our futures.
