With House gavel in hand and a five-seat advantage, Speaker McCarthy and anti-choice Republican representatives have continued their work to restrict abortion access nationwide. In this post-Roe v. Wade political landscape, one thing has never been clearer: flipping the House and restoring our Democratic majority is essential.

Last cycle, Reps. Yadira Caraveo (CO-08) and Marie Gluesenkamp Perez's (WA-03) victories kept Republicans' seat advantage slim -- but both were won by less than a single point. Not surprisingly, The Cook Political Report has already rated both of their reelection races as toss ups.

Democratic pro-choice women are the reason we overcame last cycle's predicted red wave and ensured Republican's majority in the House was razor-thin.

For example, Rep. Yadira Caraveo ran and won Colorado's newly drawn 8th Congressional District -- a race the GOP's House fundraising arm spent millions trying to gain. And in Washington State, Rep. Marie Gluesenkamp Perez's (WA-03) victory came as a shock to pundits who predicted her anti-choice extremist opponent winning by a landslide.

Both of these victories were close calls, John, and The Cook Political Report has already rated each as toss ups going into the 2023-2024 cycle. We know Republicans have their sights set on flipping these seats, and we can't cede a single inch in the early days of these races.
