Two Keys to Unlock More Affordable Homes for the Bay

BAHA logo

The Bay Area Housing for All (BAHA) coalition is working to address the Bay Area’s affordable housing shortage through two important interventions: reduce the threshold required to pass local affordable housing bonds and allow for more flexibility in the uses of funds through a statewide ballot initiative, and pass a $10-20 billion nine-county Bay Area affordable housing bond to build thousands of homes and house hundreds of thousands of our neighbors.

Why It Matters California is producing only 14% of the 120,000 new affordable homes needed each year. Over 161,000 Californians are currently unhoused. A regional housing measure could produce and preserve upwards of 45,000 affordable homes. Over the lifetime of these developments, half a million low-income families will be housed.

We Need Your Help! Head over to the new BAHA website to learn more, join the coalition, and endorse the campaign!
