We are thankful to Governor Murphy and Democrats in the state legislature who have worked tirelessly to enact a series of commonsense gun safety reforms that have saved lives and made our state a better place to live. In the past few years, Democratic leaders have: - Strengthened concealed carry licensing standards;
- Enacted a gun industry accountability bill;
- Restricted guns in sensitive places like government buildings, hospitals, transportation hubs and more;
- Strengthened laws restricting ghost guns.
While the Republican Party continues to pander to the gun lobby in return for campaign cash, our Democratic leaders in New Jersey are prioritizing people over politics. These life-saving policies are a powerful reminder of why protecting our Democratic majorities in the state legislature is critical.
