This is unbelievable, team.

Once calling special elections "unnecessary," Secretary of State Frank LaRose is now all-in for a $20 million dollar, taxpayer-funded special election that would change citizen-led ballot initiatives in Ohio.

Republicans are doing everything they can to take away our ability to amend our state constitution. And if they get their way, this change could impede our efforts to put a reproductive freedom initiative on the ballot.

LaRose's latest cave to extremists in the statehouse is yet another example of his willingness to do or say anything to further his own political ambitions — even if it means making it harder for Ohioans to make their voices heard at the polls.

Here's the bottom line, team: The will of the people needs to be heard, and Ohio Democrats are fighting back against these anti-voter attacks. Will you join Ohio Democrats in demanding LaRose keep his hands OFF the initiative petition process by adding your name today?

Listen, Ohio Republicans know they're on the wrong side of the issues voters care about. So it's no surprise Frank LaRose and Matt Huffman are playing political games at taxpayers’ expense to rig the rules in their favor.

The Ohio GOP is settled on rewriting the rules in order to get what they want — instead of what the people of Ohio want. So we are doing all we can to hold them accountable.

Ohioans deserve better than out-of-touch Republicans, like Secretary LaRose, who would rather line their pockets with special interest money than listen to Ohio voters. If you agree LaRose needs to leave the petition process alone — add your name right away.
