Dear John,
The Passover Seder is one of the Jewish community’s most enduring rituals because Passover is at its heart a festival of liberation and the journey towards freedom that we take together as a society. The Passover story also reminds us that the antisemitism we see today is the latest manifestation of an evil we must fight from generation to generation.
This year and every year is an opportunity to teach your family and community the history of your freedom, which must not be taken for granted. Continually teaching this history lesson is the best way to protect the freedom to worship safely, to express yourself safely and to live safely regardless of your faith, identity or background. To help with this discussion and the meaningful action it can inspire, we are pleased to share
ADL Passover resources, including a printable supplement, “Four Questions: Fighting Antisemitism and Seeking Freedom from Persecution.”
We hope this holiday season finds you and your loved ones together, whether in person or in spirit. We are truly grateful to join together with you as part of the ADL community.
May your holiday celebrations — whether Passover, Easter, Ramadan or any other holiday meaningful to your traditions — be sweetened by your commitment to doing what is good and just in the world and wishing you health, happiness and freedom.
Best, |
