“‘He is not here; He has risen, just as He said.’”

— Matthew 28:6 (NIV)

It had been three long days, drenched in grief and cloaked in darkness. They still could not believe Jesus was gone. What happened to His promises?

Then on Sunday morning light broke through the darkness and joy wiped away the grief. The tomb where Jesus’ body lay was empty. And angel sat on the stone that once covered the doorway.

His message was simple. Jesus had risen — just as promised.

As we prepare to celebrate Easter, consider the angel’s message. Jesus does what He promises, often in the most remarkable and unexpected ways. Therefore, we can trust Him.

Praises and Prayers

  • Pray for our team members serving in the Middle East as they provide agricultural workshops for people lacking adequate nutrition. Pray the trainings will help provide a sustainable solution to hunger and create opportunities for local staff members to share the gospel.

  • Pray for the people who are waiting to receive the three shipments of lifesaving critical aid currently enroute to Africa and the Middle East and pray that our staff members will have opportunities to build relationships with them. Pray the containers will arrive on time, clear customs easily, and that many people will experience the kindness of Jesus and hear about His eternal hope.

  • Praise God for the opportunities to serve people during spring break trips as students traveled to Florida, Kentucky, Pennsylvania, Colorado, and El Salvador.
