Friends, on Monday, my campaign set a goal of raising $15,000 before the end of the month. With just hours to go, I'm afraid to say that we're still $2,800 short.

I'll admit that fundraising is not my favorite part of my job. However, campaigns need resources. Hitting our goals down the stretch – so that we can afford that extra get-out-the-vote operation or that little bit of extra airtime for a radio ad in a critical area – can make the difference between winning and losing.

That's why I'm calling on you again, friends: Please, will you donate $5 or more before midnight to help us reach our goal, win reelection and keep Louisiana moving forward?

Thank you again for your generosity, for your belief in me and for your commitment to this campaign. Winning reelection won't be easy, but I'm heartened to know I have folks like you in my corner.
