We knew a lot was on the line in Wisconsin. 

The Wisconsin Supreme Court decides all kinds of critical issues, like voting rights, gerrymandering, and abortion rights. Wisconsin is a critical swing state, and the State Supreme Court might even decide issues that directly affect the outcome of the 2024 presidential race.

We’re proud we reached more than 400,000 Wisconsin voters ahead of Election Day with voter ID assistance and education. But all of our efforts required a lot of resources. In the coming months, we need to ramp up our work in Ohio, Texas, Pennsylvania, Georgia, Arizona, Florida, and more.

• $35 provides one voter with a ride to the DMV or other ID-issuing government office.
• $50 funds the cost of securing a vital document (such as a birth certificate) for one voter to obtain voter ID.
• $500 covers the cost of a virtual textbank in one state to follow up with voters who are at risk of not having a valid ID to vote.

Wisconsin is a strict voter ID state, and we knew VoteRiders had to fill a critical gap to ensure that voters weren’t just registered but had an acceptable form of ID, too. 

We’ve had organizers on the ground in Wisconsin for 8 years. And in 2023 alone, we were able to reach 400,000+ voters, thanks to almost 400 volunteers who helped us to send 8,800+ letters and 350,000+ text messages. Our partners ordered and distributed 8,500+ voter ID information cards. We even answered dozens of requests for help on Election Day through our Helpline and Chatbot. 

We’re taking our highly effective, high-touch approach to more states than ever before as we prepare for 2024. But we need your help.
