When my husband became Governor of New Jersey, he made a promise to put ordinary New Jerseyans first, not the wealthy or well-connected. Since then, Democrats have been hard at work making good on that promise -- in just two years, we’ve passed over 600 bills to strengthen our middle class. 

Working alongside fellow Democrats, we’ve begun to raise the minimum wage to $15 an hour, giving over one million workers a foothold into the middle class. We created Jobs NJ, a job training plan to help our workers get ahead and stay ahead in the face of ever-changing workplace demands. And we protected the Affordable Care Act, which continues to face attacks from President Trump and Republicans.  

We are working every day to build a New Jersey that works for each and every one of our families. Together, we’ve made tremendous strides towards a stronger, fairer New Jersey. Just think of all the things we can do if we keep the momentum going!
